Fueling Fears: The Profit Plunge at IAG International Airlines Group (IAG) has reported a 35% drop in pre tax profits, from €1. 1 billion to €732 million euros, due to rising fuel costs and emissions charges.
This decline is attributed in part to the conflict in the Middle East, which has driven up fuel prices by 23%.
IAG's diverse portfolio of brands, including British Airways and Iberia, cannot shield itself from the impact of volatile markets.
