Built for Tomorrow's Wars: How India's 350kg Turbojet Reshapes Warfare The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has achieved a major milestone in India's indigenous aerospace propulsion programme.

The organisation has developed its first 350kg thrust class expendable turbojet engine, putting India among the select group of countries capable of designing and producing compact turbojets for military applications.

Designed by DRDO's Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) and manufactured by Hyderabad based Azad Engineering, this new engine marks a crucial step towards reducing India's reliance on imported propulsion technologies.
