The recent charge against 21 year old Braden Scott Soleau for gross vehicular manslaughter in connection with his friend Kolby Keoa Aipa's death while "car surfing" on the highway serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of reckless behavior.
Aipa died three days after suffering blunt head trauma when he fell from Soleau's pickup truck. The incident, which occurred in August 2025, was captured by a passenger filming from within the vehicle.
